Gold Earrings

Do you like to wear gold earrings? If so, you are probably familiar with the many sizes and shapes that these pieces of jewelry come in. For example, have you seen gold hoop earrings? These hoops are usually round – although some may also be oval in shape – and the sizes vary greatly. There are the discreet small gold earrings that are appropriate for little girls, while on the end of the spectrum you will find the gold earring hoop that has the same circumference of a dessert plate and is usually worn by older girls who like to show off a specific hair cut or clothing style with these hoops. Sometimes made of rose gold, earrings in the shapes of hoops may be continuous hoops or studs that turn into hoops.

Probably the most common of ear adornments are the sodalite stud gold earrings. Small, comfortable, and quite often billed as the perfect starter earrings, the fact that the post is short enough to be worn easily at night have made them a staple in today’s jewelry box. Compared with gold chandelier earrings, studs do not usually get snagged on clothing and hair during everyday activities, and thus children are most likely to begin wearing them as soon as their ears are pierced. 14kt gold and diamond earrings with a stud make for beautiful anniversary presents, and pictures of gold plated necklaces and earrings show that many studs are sold in sets with matching necklaces.

Gold earrings may also come in the form of dangle earrings. While gold stud earrings may be worn day or night, dangle gold earrings will need to be removed at the end of the day or before certain activities, such as gymnastics or other sports. Sometimes attached to the earlobe by a post while other times a thin gold strand will hold them in place, the fact of the matter is that dangle gold earrings, such as yellow gold strand pearl earrings, may become dislodged quickly if the earring is snagged by a piece of fabric. This may result in a painful tear of the earlobe.

In between studs and dangle earrings are those that rely on a post to display a larger face, such as a yellow gold drop pearl earring or a 14kt gold cross earring. Oftentimes too big to be worn overnight, they are still considered small enough to be safe during activities. Such a gold garnet earring may come in a plethora of shapes, colors, sizes, and display ideas. In some cases, the display may actually incorporate a number of styles, such as 22k Indian gold earrings that are connected by a thin chain to a cartilage piercing. Similarly, gold palm tree earrings may be dangling, but connected with a post they are also considered a stud.
